  • Yes! We have had the same guys for years, and we are all are licensed and insured. Bonus they’re all great guys that love pets just as much as we do!

  • We accept Cash, Check, ACH, Credit Card, Debit Card.  We also offer financing through Synchrony.

  • We typically work in the Metro Atlanta, Atlanta proper, and North Georgia. However we go all over! Don’t be afraid to call and ask, we’ve done jobs in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, etc. Or we can always ship products to your job-site if you have an installer. We’ve shipped all the way to Wyoming before!

  • LVP and (most) Laminates are water-resistant. So far no flooring we have seen is truly 100% water-proof.  LVP is typically more water-resistant than laminate.  Be sure to check the fine prints and warranties. With most laminates, you have 72hrs to remove the water from the top before any damage occurs.  LVP is water-resistant longer…..at least from the top down.  If there is a leak or moisture coming up from the sub-floor, any kind of flooring is going to have to come up and be replaced. As far as wood goes…..water & wood don’t mix.  Wipe up any spill as soon as possible. And don’t forget to keep potted plants off the floor, they need to be elevated in some way or moisture will get trapped and will ruin most floors. (Trust us, we’ve seen it so many times, and even done it ourselves a number of times!)

  • Yes, all hard surfaces will scratch…it’s just a matter of time before it does.  In our experience laminate flooring is the most scratch-resistant of the hard surfaces. But there are different products within each category (solid wood, engineered wood, LVP, Laminate) that will be more or less scratch resistant than others. We can help you choose the best floor based on your needs.

  • Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and laminate flooring are installed primarily using a floating floor method, where the planks are clicked together and laid over an underlayment, if needed, without being glued or nailed down to the subfloor. This installation is generally faster and more DIY-friendly compared to solid or engineered wood flooring.

    Installation of LVP and Laminate:

    • Preparation: Clean and level the subfloor.

    • Underlayment: Lay down a moisture barrier or foam underlayment as needed to reduce noise and provide cushioning and/or a moisture barrier.

    • Click-lock system: Planks have interlocking edges that snap together, creating a secure, floating floor.

Installation of Solid and Engineered Wood:

    • Engineered wood: Glue-down installations are common for engineered wood, some are made to float, but we don’t have many of these products.

    • Solid wood: Typically nailed or stapled directly to a wooden subfloor. This requires more precise subfloor preparation and professional tools.

    • Finishing: Solid wood often requires sanding and finishing after installation, whereas engineered wood usually comes prefinished, However we do have some prefinished solid products available as well.

    Key Differences:

    • Method: LVP and laminate usually float; solid wood is nailed; engineered wood can be glued or floated.

    • Subfloor requirements: Solid wood requires wooden subfloors; Engineered Wood, LVP and Laminate can go over concrete or plywood.

  • Looped carpets can snag, but tighter loops snag less and are tougher to to get caught on something. Cut-pile carpets don’t snag. Some companies, like Shaw/Tuftex, have warranties saying their looped carpets won’t snag and run like old style looped/berber carpets did. Carpet has come along way!

  • All install jobs. Typically we like you to be there to get the job started and make sure we are all on the same page. After that you are free to leave or stay. We do ask that for any flooring install you have your pets and children secured out of the install area.

Sand and Finish jobs. Once they begin the sanding process, you (and any animals) do not need to be in the house. It’s best to make arrangements to stay somewhere else until the job is complete.
